Spicy Sausage Shakshouka

 One sure-fire way to bring everyone to the table is with this one-pot wonder. Shakshouka, which loosely translates into “all mixed up”, brings together exotic flavours that the whole breakfast table will love!

What You Need

  • 1 pkg Johnsonville┬« Hot Italian Sausage Meat
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 small onion, diced
  • 1 tbsp paprika
  • 3-4 cloves of garlic, minced
  • 1 can (28 ounces) crushed tomatoes with juice
  • 4 eggs
  • 2 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped
  • salt and pepper to taste


  1. Add olive oil, sausage, onion, paprika and salt and pepper to skillet. Cook for 7 mins until sausage is cooked through.

  2. Add garlic and cook for additional 2 minutes.

  3. Add can of tomatoes and simmer for 5 minutes.

  4. Crack eggs over skillet evenly and cover. Cook eggs until desired preference.

  5. Sprinkle with parsley and salt and pepper to taste.
