What You Need

  • 1 package Johnsonville Tex Mex Seasoned Pork
  • 1/2 cup tomato sauce or strained tomatoes
  • 1/2 cup barbecue sauce (per preference)
  • 1 pizza dough (12" approx - store bought, premade dough)
  • 2 cups Mozzerella cheese, shredded
  • 1/4 cup red onions, sliced
  • 1/2 cup frozen corn kernels
  • 1/2 cup sweet red peppers, thinly sliced
  • 1/4 cup fresh cilantro, chopped

  1. Break sausage apart. Cook in skillet over medium heat, breaking up with spoon, until thoroughly browned, about 8 minutes. Remove 1/2 cup of crumbled sausage meat to bowl and reserve.

  2. Add tomato sauce and barbecue sauce to remaining sausage in skillet; mix well and remove from heat.

  3. Place pizza crust on lightly greased or non-stick pizza pan; top crust with sauce mixture. Top with cheese, onions, corn, peppers and reserved sausage.

  4. Bake at 400F (200C) in the oven until cheese melts and crust is lightly golden, about 10 minutes. Garnish with cilantro.

  5. Tip: Top with your favourite Tex Mex toppings such as tomatoes, sliced jalapenos, or swap Mozzerella cheese for pre-shredded Tex Mex style cheese, if you want!
